The town of Summersville was laid out in 1820 and is steeped in frontier and Civil War history.
The area has had its share of frontier massacres, civil war atrocities, coal mine accidents, floods, ghost stories and paranormal activity. Join Sherri Brake as she leads you through the streets sharing stories of folklore, history and the paranormal with you. We will step into the old cemetery as Sherri shares with you its history, graveyard superstitions and demonstrates how to use Dowsing Rods to find unmarked graves.
Electro Magnetic Field Detectors will be passed out among the group to aid in our mini investigation thru town.

Your walking tour ghost host is Sherri Brake, author of nearly a dozen books on dark history, folklore and haunted locations. She has been featured on the Travel Channel, PBS, SY FY Channel, ABC's Scariest Places on Earth, Fox News and on Ghost Lab. Sherri has led haunted history tours in haunted locations such as the old Weston State Hospital, the Moundsville Prison, the Ohio State Reformatory, the old Whipple Coal Company store, Waverly Hills Sanatorium , the Exchange Hotel in Virginia and many others over her 25 years of leading paranormal tours.
She will lead the lantern led walk thru town telling you of its history & hauntings, West Virginia folklore and graveyard superstitions. (Tales of the Mothman of Point Pleasant and the Flatwoods Green Monster if you are lucky!)
